95% of the beads that are said to be "Dutch" are not Dutch.

Many of the acceptable candidates for being Dutch (drawn) beads could easily be Venetian too. It may be a 50/50 crap-shoot.

The Dutch made some wound beads in the early 18th century. MOST of the beads so-identified are actually 19th C. beads from Germany or Central Europe.

In conclusion, most folks who think they have actual Dutch beads, made between 1597 and 1725, are mistaken. They don't. They often have later beads from Germany, Czechoslovakia, Austria, or Venice.

Refer to past posts to see actual Dutch beads.
