Mark Twain said that the coldest winter he ever spent was a summer in San Francisco. I used to live in the so-called "Sunset" District and had a tan from the wrists down. T-shirts are always black, and black leather jackets are year round.

Today it was 74 degrees. We went romping at the beach, at the mouth of a creek, where Colin went SWIMMING. For real, I didn't really expect him to get ALL the way in so I didn't even bring a towel. Dry clothes though.

More storms are on the way - but it seems we traditionally get a nice break of amazing weather in Jan. or Feb.
