The long pier buildings on the water, "Bob's Location", are part of Fort Mason, a retired army base that for 25+ years has been used as a center for the arts, galleries, and big craft-oriented shows. The tribal show was in the long pier building next to the one you can see the best.

If you take a little walking path along the waterfront eastward from Ft. Mason for about 1/2 mile, you will be at Aquatic Park, then Fisherman's Wharf. At the eastern end is the sea lions' domain. They are fun to watch but they have serious personal hygene issues!
