Last week it was the Arts of Pacific Asia show. That is the show for authentic ojime. And this weekend it's San Francisco Tribal and Textile Arts, which actually began Thursday night with a gala benefiting the DeYoung museum.
Robert Brundage (of our beautiful home page) will be showing there, with his wonderful Tibetan artifacts, as he has been going there for over 30 years. Bob is well known among collectors of Tibetan artifacts, and he is now building his new private show room for client visits. We'll see numerous other friends there as well. This show is like visiting a museum where you can touch things!
End of the month is the Marin Indian Show, my annual fix for Native American artifacts. Major auction houses show at this one. It is also a chance to educate some of the vendors displaying strands of beads on raffia and labelled Native American (!)
