Yes, I think that groups 1, 2, and 9 were the ones that I said could have some age to them. By modern, I suppose I meand within the last 20 years or so.

As far as determining age on beads, there are a number of factors, including wear of the holes and surface, both of which can be artificially produced. As far as dirtiness goes, that is probably the easiest to reproduce. I have heard stories of entire runs of new glass beads being buried for a month in manure in order to make them look very old. I am sure there are many other methods that are in use.

There are some nice looking beads in your group, even some of the modern ones would be desirable to most collectors. I am sinmply comparing them to say 2,000 year old beads, that may bring several hundred dollars each in a fair marketplace.
