Hello All;

Here is an assortment of my favorite Venetian millefiori beads. The murrine is commonly known here on the forum as peacock. The murrine is made from a layered cane hybridized by having the addition of composite layered elements. If you refer to "Canes for Millefiori Work" by Jamey Allen. In the articles section you will be able to find out more about the more intricate details about millefiori canes. These bead are from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. I have said in the past. If I had to be a bead I would want to look like one of these. The oval bead are around 12mm X 16mm the cylinder beads are around 7mm X 12 mm. They are mixed with gold washed wire filler beads from African. European whiteheart beads, Venetian four layer drawn beads and Czech filler beads.

Enjoy
Sincerely
Thomas Mercer
